Customize your bot's personality, language, and behavior
Character defines your bot's identity and how it communicates. This guide covers all customization options.
Basic Information
Bot Name
Your bot's display name in chats. Keep it clear and descriptive.
Examples:
- ✅ "Customer Support Bot"
- ✅ "Marketing Assistant"
- ❌ "Bot123" (too generic)
Bot Description (Optional)
Brief summary of what your bot does. Helps you organize multiple bots.
Example: "Answers customer questions about our products 24/7"
Bot Image (Optional)
Profile picture for your bot list (not Telegram - that's set via @BotFather).

- Upload square image (recommended: 512x512px)

Language (35+ Options)
Choose your bot's primary language:
Available: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, and 25+ more.
Note: Even with one language selected, bots understand and respond in multiple languages. This is just the default/preferred language.
Relationship
How your bot positions itself with users:
Professional:
- Assistant: Helpful, service-oriented
- Colleague: Professional, collaborative
- Expert: Knowledgeable, authoritative
- Teacher: Educational, patient
Personal:
- Friend: Warm, casual
- Best Friend: Very close, supportive
- Mentor: Wise, guiding
Custom: Type any relationship (e.g., "Personal Trainer", "Concierge", "Coach")
How it affects responses:
Friend: "Hey! No worries, happens to everyone 😊"
Professional: "I apologize for the inconvenience. Let me help you resolve this."
Teacher: "Great question! Let me explain step by step..."
Personality Traits (Choose 2-5)
Add traits that shape your bot's behavior:
Common Choices:
- Helpful, Friendly, Professional
- Patient, Empathetic, Caring
- Playful, Witty, Energetic
- Analytical, Logical, Precise
- Creative, Imaginative, Inspiring
Good Combinations:
- Support Bot: Helpful + Patient + Professional
- Coach: Motivating + Empathetic + Disciplined
- Entertainment: Playful + Witty + Outgoing
Custom Traits: Type your own (e.g., "Tech-savvy", "Zen-like", "Sales-focused")
Perks (Choose 0-5)
Unique characteristics that add flavor:

- Bookworm, Foodie, Fitness Freak
- Tech-Savvy, Artist, Science Nerd
- Beach Bum, Pet Lover, Traveler
- Storyteller, Joker, Visionary

- Makes bot more relatable
- Adds conversational variety
- Creates memorable personality
- Reinforces brand identity

Simple Mode vs Advanced Mode
Simple Mode (Recommended)
Select options from dropdowns → We generate perfect instructions automatically.
Use when:
- You're getting started
- Standard behavior is fine
- You want quick setup
Advanced Mode
Edit raw instructions that guide your bot's behavior.
Use when:
- You need specific rules
- You want precise control
- You're experienced with AI prompting
Tip: Start with Simple Mode, then switch to Advanced to see what was generated. Modify from there!

Testing Your Character
After saving:
- Go to Publish tab
- Publish your bot (if not already)
- Open in Telegram
- Send test messages
- Verify personality matches expectations
Updating Character
Change settings anytime:
- Edit Character tab
- Click Save Character
- Changes take effect immediately
- No need to re-publish
