Knowledge & Training

The Knowledge tab is where you teach your bot about your business, products, or any topic. It's simple: add websites, wait for indexing, and your bot can answer questions!

How It Works

1. You add website URLs → Enter one or more links
2. We crawl the pages → Extract content automatically
3. Content is indexed → Broken into searchable chunks
4. Bot learns → Can now answer questions using this knowledge

All automatic! Usually takes 1-2 minutes per website.

Adding Knowledge

Step-by-Step

1. Go to Knowledge tab
2. Enter website URL: https://example.com
3. Click "+ Add Another" for multiple websites
4. Click Start Training
5. Watch progress in the table below

What URLs Work?

✅ Full websites: https://example.com (crawls all pages if sitemap exists)
✅ Specific pages: https://example.com/about (just that page)
✅ Any accessible URL: We adapt automatically!

Multiple Websites

Add multiple sources at once:

• Your main website
• Blog or help center
• Product pages
• FAQ section

Just enter all URLs and click Start Training once!

Understanding the Knowledge Base Table

The table shows your bot's knowledge:

🔄 In Progress - Currently training
Shows: "5/10 pages processed"

✅ Indexed - Ready to use
Shows: "2k characters" (content size)

❌ Failed - Something went wrong
Try again with a different URL

Managing Documents

Viewing Documents

Each document shows:

• Page title (extracted from website)
• Status (Indexed, In Progress, Failed)
• Date added
• Character count

Deleting Documents

Click the 🗑️ trash icon to remove:

• Old/outdated content
• Incorrect information
• Content you want to replace

Deletion removes both the document and its AI embeddings.

Best Practices

Start Small

• Begin with 2-3 key pages
• Add more as needed
• Quality over quantity

Keep Updated

• Remove outdated content
• Add new pages when your site changes
• Review monthly

Focus on Relevant Content

• Add pages your users ask about
• Skip irrelevant sections
• Don't add entire internet!

Troubleshooting

"No sitemap found"
→ Use the direct page URL instead: https://example.com/about

"Training stuck at Pending"
→ Normal for development setup. Wait 1-2 minutes or check configuration.

"Can't create job. Over quota"
→ Delete old documents or upgrade your plan.

"All documents skipped"
→ You've already indexed this content. Delete old version first if you want to re-index.

How Much Can I Add?

Your plan includes a document quota. Each indexed page counts as one document.

Check your dashboard to see:

• Documents used / total available
• Upgrade options for more capacity

Tips for Success

✅ Add your homepage and most-visited pages first
✅ Include FAQ and help documentation
✅ Test by asking questions about the content
✅ Update when your website changes
✅ Delete documents you no longer need
